Churchgate jaane wali tez local aaj radh kardi gayi hain...aapki asuvidha ke liye hame khed hai...

Many Mumbaikars willing to commute by the Mumbai locals would be bog down listening to these announcements made on various platforms.

It is not because they wont be able to catch a train approaching upfront but its the bonding and mind set which has tied the Mumbaikars with the Mumbai local.
It is the life line of the city, and we should be proud of it. It is the fastest means to travel in a metropolitan city like Mumbai. Connecting the four corners of the city via the Western, Central and Harbour line.

The increase in traffic congestion and financial deficits are the main reasons why a Mumbaikar prefers a Mumbai Local. The Indian Rail, especially the Western Railway and the Central Railways should be accredited for there anticipation and implementation.

Lakhs of people use the service and I am one of them. It not only gives a sigh of relief from the road traffic but also a peaceful and quick journey.

"Mumbai aake agar local mein nahi gaya...toh kya gaya..." A must for all the tourist and Mumbaikars, especially aligning in a Virar fast :P
Its a Art...try it !

Mavshi, "Dhab-dhabba kuthe aahe ?"

After a long round of discusions & options for one day trip, we decided Bhivpuri for its beautiful Waterfall on Saturday 17th July, 2010.
Bhivpuri is a station just after Neral station & before Karjat station. It takes around an hour & twenty minutes from Thane station by local train. The Ashane Koshane Waterfall is around half an hour walking from Bhivpuri station. The walk down the waterfall gives the essence of village type houses, roads and somewhat people too.
The normal route to the waterfall is quiet straight forward, but we took a separate route to give the trek feel and was quiet nice. Being a holiday, the place was crowded but still the scenory did not go dismissed.
The fall was just a perfect answer to natural beauty. The flow of water was as hard as snowfall even though there were no rains since last four days. The only thing we missed was RAINS, it would had been an iceing on the cake.
Though we started the trip little late, but atleast we did ! Six members from my office were suppose to go, out of which only four turned up including me. For all who didnt turn up, your'll missed the travelling fun, the vada pav's, the photography, the scenory and last but not the least the aesthetical Waterfall :)

IPL abhi baaki hai mere dost...

Instant idea of sharing my personal experiences & thoughts on Indian Premier League (IPL) even though the Media has already hyped about the most happening Sporting event in its Good & Bad days.

Any match seen in stadium is always fun, especially a T20 and that too in any part of India. The jam packed crowd, fluttering flags, loud cheers, severe booing, blowing horns/whistles and with the IPL, the glamor factor is a add-on to the fun.

I was quiet lucky enough to get tickets for the MI vs DC match of IPL 1, the inaguration match (KKR vs DC) and the final match (MI vs CSK) of IPL3. All the games in D.Y.Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai which basically makes commuting a big issue for residents of Mumbai. But still as we know Cricket is not just a Game in India !

The Inaguration ceremony of IPL 3 was quiet descent enough with lots of kids performing this year. KKR won the match with all round performce against the DC.

The Finale on 25th April 2010 started with a amazing laser show and live performance of A.R.Rahman :Koii hamse jeet na paye - Lagaan, Maa tujhe salam - Vande Mataram & Jai Ho - Slumdog. Follwed up with dance performance of Bipasa Basu & Shahid Kapur.

With finals in Navi Mumbai in which MI take on CSK, it was no prize to guess whom the crowd supported the most. My friends & I had hard time as they were supporting MI & I was with MSD [But guys was fun, fighting :) ] . But hats off to Sachin for playing the finals even after getting 5 stiches between fingers. Excellent innings from Raina & suffling of batting order from MI made things easy for CSK.

Now with the end of IPL 3 and Lalit Modi as well, is it the end to IPL era? Well its the point of discussion these days in media and I think it will go on just like the Fixing controversy is associated with Cricket.

I feel it will go on as it is one of the most profitable events one can have in a country like India. Everyone working for IPL or associated with the IPL is in sure sort profit other then the audiences. I am so sure it will be back next year with new teams, new players & some new ideas !

Zzzzzz... Let me sleep !

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

What is Sleep ?
Sleep is a naturally recurring state of relatively suspended sensory and motor activity, characterized by total or partial unconsciousness and the inactivity of nearly all voluntary muscles. The purposes and mechanisms of sleep are only partially clear and are the subject of intense research.
[This is the defination as far as wikipedia is concerned about our Sleep - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep ]

I dont think any research is required to find the purpose of sleep. According to me its the best thing gifted by God. Why find a reason to sleep its a luxury to have so utilize it. Sleeping is the best form of relaxation. If we analyse our day, the sleeping hours are the most peaceful hours of your day. No hard feelings for the one who dont feel the same, but I am for the majority of people in metropolitan city like Mumbai.

Its the human nature which finds reasons to sleep like...
    * I should sleep now as its very late right now
    * I should sleep now as I have to get up early
    * I should sleep as I got up early today morning
    * I need sleep

We can drive the most costliest car / bike, we can put our hands on the most costliest and high tech gadgets, we can create chaos in our school/ college/ office in dreams, we can be with any celebrity we would love to be with... in short anything is possible in Dreams but thats only possible coz of Sleeping.

Many health appurtenant may argue on the sleeping hours. Actual sleeping hours should be from when one is tired enough to go to bed till the time our body wanna wake up... without any alarms etc. Why force our body to sleep as the clock says 11 and get up when the clock says 6? We arent robots right...

But after a nice sleep even the world of hell looks like heaven, all problems come to a solution, the water flowing from the tap looks like a beautiful waterfall in the green mountains, the bath tub looks like a lake etc etc ...

Actually sleeping is the best thing to do in life and if its winters... its the most awesome thing. Many would conclude that I may be the most laziest person in the world to sleep so long etc. But as famously quoted 'If you dream, you achieve !', so if you dont sleep, you dont dream and thus cant achieve anything in life...

So don't hesitate to sleep, sleep as much as your mind, body and heart will. There are no proven side effects of Sleeping. Sleep is harmless. Atleast the world will be at peace when we will be fast asleep, until and unless we snore !

Sleep well, sleep tight :)
