IPL abhi baaki hai mere dost...

Instant idea of sharing my personal experiences & thoughts on Indian Premier League (IPL) even though the Media has already hyped about the most happening Sporting event in its Good & Bad days.

Any match seen in stadium is always fun, especially a T20 and that too in any part of India. The jam packed crowd, fluttering flags, loud cheers, severe booing, blowing horns/whistles and with the IPL, the glamor factor is a add-on to the fun.

I was quiet lucky enough to get tickets for the MI vs DC match of IPL 1, the inaguration match (KKR vs DC) and the final match (MI vs CSK) of IPL3. All the games in D.Y.Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai which basically makes commuting a big issue for residents of Mumbai. But still as we know Cricket is not just a Game in India !

The Inaguration ceremony of IPL 3 was quiet descent enough with lots of kids performing this year. KKR won the match with all round performce against the DC.

The Finale on 25th April 2010 started with a amazing laser show and live performance of A.R.Rahman :Koii hamse jeet na paye - Lagaan, Maa tujhe salam - Vande Mataram & Jai Ho - Slumdog. Follwed up with dance performance of Bipasa Basu & Shahid Kapur.

With finals in Navi Mumbai in which MI take on CSK, it was no prize to guess whom the crowd supported the most. My friends & I had hard time as they were supporting MI & I was with MSD [But guys was fun, fighting :) ] . But hats off to Sachin for playing the finals even after getting 5 stiches between fingers. Excellent innings from Raina & suffling of batting order from MI made things easy for CSK.

Now with the end of IPL 3 and Lalit Modi as well, is it the end to IPL era? Well its the point of discussion these days in media and I think it will go on just like the Fixing controversy is associated with Cricket.

I feel it will go on as it is one of the most profitable events one can have in a country like India. Everyone working for IPL or associated with the IPL is in sure sort profit other then the audiences. I am so sure it will be back next year with new teams, new players & some new ideas !
